Financial Knowledge seeks take charge, experienced writers that have well-rounded financial knowledge to develop course materials, instructor guides, newsletters, press releases, articles, web content, proposals, and other written materials. Individuals must be able to convey ideas clearly and logically with the ability to put information into easily understandable language. To perform this job successfully, Technical Writers should be able to conduct research, interviews, and fact checking, review, revise, rewrite, and edit assignments for accuracy, content, grammar and style, as well as assist in layout work as directed.

A Bachelor's degree (preferably in communications, journalism, or English) at minimum is required. Financial services industry experience is a plus. Technical Writers must possess outstanding computer skills, including graphic design, page layout, and desktop publishing using the latest software and graphics programs.

Other skills Technical Writers are required to possess include excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as a willingness to learn. Technical Writers must be detail and goal oriented, self-motivated, and organized. Moreover, Technical Writers must enjoy writing as well as be able to work well with others. The ability to work under pressure and meet in-house and client deadlines is also essential.

Financial Knowledge does not hire any Technical Writers that have any proprietary interest in any product, instrument, device, service, or material discussed during a Financial Knowledge teaching event. Prior to joining Financial Knowledge as a Technical Writer, the individual must sever all ties with any financial firms, including their own, that provide advisory services and/or sell financial products or related services. This includes affiliations with any firms that provide financial planning, financial advisory, employee benefits consulting, accounting, banking, brokerage, legal, or real estate services.
